Turning and stopping on steep icy slope

I am an intermediate-level skiier and can manage all red and some black runs. I tried the black "Face" piste in Val d'Isere this year. The lower half of this run is very icy and I found it difficult to contol my turn and stop on such surface. Any special skill to turn and stop on steep icy surface?

Mike 正向着好的方向發展
A lot of skiers tend to tense up and fight the ice which really doesn't work well. Small movements against aggressively pushing the skis (just like driving on ice) quick and aggressive movements will send you quickly to the bottom.

So, skiing on icy slope is all about good balance and soft feet. You need to have a good feel for it. Skidding through or even side slipping on sharp edges is often the best approach.
