買左新板, 請問需5需要重新打蠟
因為我12月就出發,而塊新板應該封左蠟, 板底打左一層5平滑GE蠟,,我應該點?

If it is a brand new board, then something is not right. All brand new skis/board I have seen the base should be smooth and polished. If there is an uneven layer of wax on the base it might be storage wax applied by the previous user. In that case, you need to scrape and brush as shown in the thread I quoted above.

Sometimes you will find ski shops at ski resorts advertising waxing a pair of skis (or snowboard) for US$5. Note for $5 you get what is known a "machine buff wax", not a proper hot waxing by hand.
A machine wax generally just run your skis over a heated belt that dips into a wax pot as it goes around. This process only applies wax to the very outer layer of the ski and will not last long. A proper hot wax by hand (cost a bit more) will actually get the wax into the base of the ski and will last longer. |
